CPC30220 Certificate III in Carpentry
Description
This is a trade qualification for carpenters in residential and commercial workplaces. It includes setting out, manufacturing, constructing, assembling, installing and repairing products made using timber and non-timber materials.
Occupational titles may include:

• Carpenter – Residential
State and territory jurisdictions may have different licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements. Relevant state and territory regulatory authorities should be consulted to confirm those requirements.
Completion of the general construction induction training program, specified in the Safe Work Australia model Code of Practice: Construction Work, is required by anyone carrying out construction work. Achievement of CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry meets this requirement.

Course Delivery
Classroom based training sessions to develop the knowledge and theoretical understandings. Practical sessions in the workshop.
Assessment
The assessment process includes the gathering of evidence to demonstrate the student’s competence. Students are assessed using written assessment and direct observation of practical demonstration.

Student Entry Requirements
- Successful completion of year 11 or equivalent or the equivalent level of study (AQF Level III & IV)
- Successful completion of Determining Suitability Assessment
- 18 years of age or above.
- Any enrolment specific requirements or conditions are detailed on the 1st page of Letter of Offer.
- Minimum English level of IELTS 6.0 or equivalent (International Student) or a Lennox College Placement Test
*These entry requirements are in addition to Course Entry Requirements.
* Completion of the general induction training program specified by the National Code of Practice for Induction Training for Construction Work (ASCC 2007) is required before entering a construction work site. Achievement of unit CPCCWHS1001 covers this requirement. This unit is often referred to as a white card and is required to be completed externally from Lennox College. The undertaking of a white card is an additional cost to the student and is not included in the Delivery of the Qualification and the student must undertake and present the evidence of the unit competency.

RPL / Course Credit
Lennox offers Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Course Credit to students through the enrolment process.

Completion
At the successful completion of the course students will be awarded with the “Testamur” and a “Record of Results” which provides detailed Units of Competency completed in the course.
At the Partial Completion of the course students will be awarded with a “Statement of Attainment” which will detail only the Units of Competency that student has achieved competency from the course.
